EK coupe is called EJ or EM.
EK is only for sedan or hatchback.

FYI

EJ8 and EM1 are coupes

but there is another EK coupe, which is pretty much the EM1 but an auto with a gli engine. thus EK is not ONLY for sedans or hatchback, its also a coupe, EK GLI coupe.

No one is answering the question. I want to have the same rear bar as the em1. And btw i do drive an wj8 coupe twing and i know when i go to get parts for it I have arguements with the ppl because they dont think ej8 exist and they try and tell me its an ek coupe

if ej8 'dont exist' say to them 96-98 coupe
or vti coupe

to me the rear bars look almost, if not, identical (dont quote me though)
with the exception of different rear lips for the rear bars (which can be modified to fit em1/ej8)

If yours is EJ8 you have vtec, if its just a EK coupe its non vtec

Im pretty sure the rear bumpers are interchangeable, as per the tail lights

you're first post was really vague and confusing which is probably y no one answered you

I used to have an ej8 and when the little old blind 90 year old granny next door decided to test my rear bumper for shock absorption and smashed it, I replaced the bumper, tail-lights and boot from an em1.
so yes, to answer your Q. They're the same. I think that sedan parts 'may' also be interchangeable, but I never checked.
