you want the vti engine ? Why ?

Anyway.

You NEED

Engine
ECU

thats it....reuse everything else.

Don't bother I reckon. I have an EH VTi with the D16Y1 and I got a free D16A8 that I'm gonna rebuild and not even I can be bothered doing it man. You'll get some better low/mid range power and more gains from mods in DOHC than SOHC but at the end of the day they're both 96kw at the crank and unless you're doing a turbo D16A8 it's fruitless.

Same parts needed pretty much but unless you mod it I still don't think you'll see great gains going stock to stock

ALso make sure that the motor (d16a8) isnt older than the car ur putting it in otherwise it'll be illegal

the little gain is not worth the money unless you're thinking of getting a turbo on it.

That's right guys. I'd prefer to have the D16A8 instead of the D16Y1 (I have an EH VTi with the Y1, and a spare full A8 conversion in a trailor) but wouldn't bother to change them over - waste of time unless I'm going FI.
I'm sure the Y1 will make very good power on boost (I've seen up to 138kw ATW) but the A8 I've seen making closer to 200 ATW.

Just food for thought. If you want a conversion without doing engineering cert (Vic) the you can go A8 but otherwise you may as well just go B16A or B18C7/CR because you'll need a cert for all three and you'd be happier with your money spent on them :)

use the current loom on the d16a8. Everything should be plug play as mentioned above.
You will need to run p29 ecu

alot of guys in america do D series to D series swaps ... maybe try hondatech or D-Series forums

imo unless you are doing a rare D series build like JDM D15 VTEC its not worth it

not my post but imma post on here anyways, lol

can we reuse Si wiring and looms if dropping a b16a. all we need is just the ecu?

IDK why im asking this, I should know this already but somewhere in that head of mine i canr think it out haha.

I believe you can, because my friend used his D16A8 wiring for his B18CR swap
