weird idle

ive got a vtir teg with a b20 b18 conversion. all stock including stock ecu... it never idles at a regular rpm. it bounces from about 800 - 1800. just bouncing and bouncing as if im tapping the accelerator. anyone ever experienced this or know what the problem is.. my pops and brother do performance engines and did the conversion for me and they cant find anything mechanically wrong with it. im thinking its the ecu???

Hey, i had the same problem when i performed the so called 'coolant bypass modification'.

So basically, hot coolant runs through ur throttle body, sometime if that's placed the wrong way around it might cause that. Check your coolant hoes for the throttle body. if they're placed on, try switching them around.

i think my idle jumps to 700 to 2500 rpm before.

Check or adjust your throttle cable (not highly recommended) or bring it to a perfomance shop and get it tuned
