OK well, ive noticed lately that when i go for a drive and have to pull up at lights or where ever i stationary the car tends to hunt around 1100rpm to 1500rpm for a bout a minute sometime a bit longer before it drops down to idle (900rpm).. its starting to get anoying..

any ideas???

few common items is idle valve needs cleaning, cooling system has lost coolant and has got an airlock/bubble, or and air leak. There is a diy for idle valves and possibly for coolant bleed procedures.

after cleaning the idle valve, sometimes it gets sticky. ABit of WD40 to lube it up can stop it from over idling. I know mine did when i sprayed some in. Only a small squirt needed

The FITV may need adjusting:

while ur at it cleaning the FITV, check out the IACV aswell,
I had the same problem with my EF8, it was idling from 1000-2000rpm while in normal operating temperature, it was so annoying that I had to turn off ignition at every red lights!
good luck mate!

clean the IACV, use throttle body cleaner not WD40
