Car is 04 LUX

After giving the throttle a clean, the car now has a slight miss/jerk when i put the foot down.

Should i reset the ecu or is there a TPS RESET procedure. Or maybe change plugs?

Have read that a fewpeople have had issues with their tps.

Thanks inadvance for any advice.

how did you clean it?
i cleaned it while the car was still running, so then it wouldnt be as hard to start the car next time. you probably just need to get rid of the gunk it still has in the intake manifold or cylinders.

clean the TB proper way :

-disconnect baterry
-disconnect sensor
-disconnect hoses
-loosen 4 bolts from the TB
-clean top and bottom openings using appropriate solution
-install back in reversal order
-start the car up let it idle + ECU will learn it self for 2 - 3 mins :)
if the gasket is torn use the new gasket so that way there wouldn't be any leakage

^^ Ill have to remeber this fro next time...

My procedure involved disconecting the intake hose and starting the car followed by spraying TB with cleaner.
I do remeber though that i disconeccted the small sensor located near the TB on the intake hose and started tha car then realised that check engine and VSA light were on. I turned off and reconected the sensor before restarting again.

This morning i did a ECU reset (disconncted batt) and the car seems bit better. Maybe starting without sensor threw ecu into LIMP mode??

Hey,
get you hands on some inlet manifold cleaner, suburu makes an awesome one ( think its called tope end cleaner), you spray 3/4 can into the inlet maifold through the breather and then let it rest for 5 minutes, then start the car and spray the remaining 1/4 can in the inlet and rev it out. Try and get the subaru one... top stuff.
this should clean it all up and stop the inconsistency
