Hi all,

I've purchased an air-fuel-ratio guage, and want to install it into my DC2 VTiR Integra.

The power / ground should be easy enough to come by, but i'm not sure where to hook the sensor wire up to.

To my knowledge, it pulls it's reading off the O2 sensor. Is there a O2 sensor out on the ECU, or do you have to pull the reading off the O2 wire itself?

Any advice would be great.

Regards,
Tommo :)

check the user manual. which brand of AF gauge did you purchase? there should be some instructions on the manufacturer's site.

The ECU wire and O2 wire will more or less be one and the same. Check your vehicle wiring diagrams to find the correct one.

Typically the Honda ECU doesn’t output any o2 value, it only reads the value from the o2 sensor. ( this said most sensors r very very very very very very very inaccurate) but you can splice into the o2 senor or at the ECU end of the wiring harness

It's an autometer one..

I know how the guage works, but just not sure on a Honda where it's best to get the value from, but James has answered it in the below quote.

That's fair enough, thanks for the info James

Where would I find the information that specifies which wire on the ECU has the o2 sensor values?

Tommo :)

so wats the deal with wiring it up then ??? just get it from the ecu or straight from the o2 sensor itself ?

makes no differance, you need to pick up the O2s singnal from somewhere

hm.. i wired up a air fuel ratio guage.. well my friend did
and i found out that the wire is covered with some shit so the sensitivity aint that good ... but still works.

best not to wire to the sensor wire it self, go after the connector.
