Hi,
was bored today so decided to lower my car with a diff set of shocks/springs
I wanted it lower so i used the stiff orange tanabe damper/springs (The other one is GAB). Was wondering from the pic whether its suitable for road use, because it is SURE DAMN BUMPY!, i'm running 195/50/15's

as u can see the springs are FAT

Also noticed on the right side a leak! grease and sh_T EVERYWHERE

Can anyone confirm, the rubber has basically got a HUGE HOLE in it! Whats happening to my baby :( shes crying

Now its too low.. guess i'll have to raise it.

Just wondering now..
how much do CV Joints cost, is it easy to install them myself? Would i need to crawl under the car?!?!!? :O Should i buy a pair or just one? also...another question.. WOULD YOU!? put up with a rough ride to compensate for the lower look!?

in regards to the CV grease leak....from the pic it looks like the CV boots...(the rubber glove) is cracked and grease is everywhere...

it doesnt cost that much to get them replaced...id say bout 60 bucks for 1 side.. (that is non genuine Honda CV Boot though)

That grease is from your CV joints. Provided no crap has got in there, they should be OK.

Changing the boots isn't too hard.....hardest part is gettiing your driveshafts out.

get your boot replaced as soon as you can as it will cost alot more for parts if you leave it,

driving with split cv boots will cause the joint to go dry as centrifical motion and forces drive all the grease out of the joint and cause damage to the joint.
