Hi all,
I have a query and was wondering if anyone could help me.
I'm currently driving a 2002 Civic EU3, and have the regular bolt on mods I/H/E. I've read on numerous forums, and have been told by friends that own a 7th gen themselves that the ECU is untuneable and will relearn over time to be more fuel efficient and emissions compliant.
I know I have the option of swapping over to a K20 ECU ie. DC5R, and having a hondata K100/Pro installed. To me, that is not worth my while as my car doesn't really have much guts and until I either do a K Swap or Boost it, I believe I don't really need to buy such expensive equipment for such little gain. Now my question is, if I were to purchase say a K20 ECU and run a air/fuel/vtec controller ie. Apexi VAFC2/Neo, and have it tuned via that ECU, is this possible or compatible with my vehicle? I only want to get the most out of the mods that I currently have, and wanted to know if my idea was feasible.
Any feedback would be great!
Tony.
