Just installed a Apexi Gen II RSM today into my gen 5 prelude vtir..

and I think my RPM is not aligned or reading right on the unit or vice versa... also... is the RPM on a 5th Gen meant to read as low as.. 450-500... at idle(reading from the unit)??? Dunno if thats normal.. but I thought it was meant to be around 785-850ish etc..

So say I rev the car.. according to my dials... to 2kRPM... on the rsm it shows up.. about 1.2krpm.. so what could be the problem.. anyone know?

In your RSM settings, your pulses must have been set wrongly that is why it's not reading correctly... Play around with it and you will get it :)

Thats for more fine tuning of the Signal Pulse (sp1).
