JSCC has 6-8 people registered for the NSW State Supersprints Championship so it's a very active club

I've asked the Skyline forums and they said its open invite, with a lot of their cars being non-nissan.

I thought about the Honda Car Club Vic as well, but their photos are filled with 1970s cars and listed activities include brunch...and more brunch.

I kinda like SAU with the number of events they run so might look at joining

Really friggin miss owning a WRX atm. WRXClub and Rexnet were awesome for events and trackdays.

well most car clubs are open invite its just depending on how much u want to pay, i joined HCCV cos it was the cheapest of them all. even if your not apart of a club u can still attend their track days.

If the prerequisite is just a CAMS L2 licence.....then go with the cheapest club. That's what a 'lot' of people do.

Some Cams affiliated clubs are into the "social" side of things eg brunch, drive-in movies, bbq's, etc. Others are into competitive events (motokhana, supersprints, drifting, rallying, etc) and others are into cruising.

Go to the CAMS website http://www.cams.com.au/Sport/Club%20Zone/Club%20Finder.aspx and check out the clubs listed. You should be able to filter on "speed" if you want to compete in motorsports. Then just check the calendar of the club's website and see if they have the events you are interested in.

I agree. It is much better, for your own participation and enthusiasm, to join an ACTIVE club rather than just the cheapest club. Although if $$ are an issue then, yes, any club will suffice. Out at the track you want to be able to talk to people about events, car setup, etc.

Good luck

Peter
