hey guys i was wandering if any of you guys have had any experience with this amplifier, the specs are as follow:

Continuous (RMS)
Per channel into 4 ohms: 40W
Per channel into 2 ohms: 50W
Bridged into 4 ohms: 100W
Max Power
Per channel into 4 ohms: 75W
Bridged into 4 ohms: 180W

I already have a pair of 6" or 6.5" alpines which sound pretty decent already, tight bass and clear trebles in conjunction with the amplifier. I've got some unknown branded splits at the front, they sound pretty crappy but maybe it's because they haven't been amplified but one of the tweeter is missing and i really cant be bothered with it.
Now i was wandering which of the following would be best:

Chuck the alpines to the front, buy some 6x9's and install them on the rear parcel shelf, amplifying all 4 speakers
Buy a pair of tweeters, replacing the front tweeters, ampilifying the splits at the front and a 10/12" sub (they are usually rated around 400W RMS though :S), then connecting the 2 rear alpines speakers directly to the headunit
Buying a decent pair of splits for the front, leaving the alpines behind and amplfying all speakers.

If you guys have any other suggestions, feel free to speak :) Oh and i'm trying to keep the budget under 250ish if possible, just for now while I attempt to find a job in this harsh economy :)

BTW, i was wandering if sometime in the near future when I have money, should i buy a strong 3/4/5 CH amp to amp the speaker and Sub or should i get a mono in conjunction with the amp that i have now, I heard running two amp on a civic eg will drain the battery !

i know this isnt going to help a great deal but my suggestion is take a new photo for your avatar without a shodow of you taking the photo in it haha.... ps- save your money until you can afford what you really want, i work in car audio, my view on things is do it once, do it right... if you end up buying a bandaid fix for your lacking system you'll crack the shits with it and buy something else later down the track, and you'll never ever make your money back on whatever you just waster 2-3-400 bucks on, do it in stages, buy some new splits, it will sound 10 times better, then when you can afford it, buy a suitable amp for the splits improving the sound 10 fold again, then when your budget alows it, get a sub and amp package to round out the system, but make sure you audition your options, go to shops that sell the brand/product your interested in (armed with a good quality cd of your favourit music) and put the components through their paces.... i guess what im trying to say is, dont waste your money :P
sorry for the long reply!

Do it once and do it right, euro is on the ball with that one IMHO.

What kind of music do you listen to? What are you really expecting from this upgrade?

Answer that and it will help me and the other members on here give appropriate advice.

Oh and i listen to mainly trance and rnb.

Oh i have another question, what do you guys think of me amplifying a 10/12 inch subwoofer with that amp in bridged mode?

Its definitely possible as I do it and it usually works quite well. At the end of the day it will depend on the hardware that you use and the desired end result. Your car would get quite loud with a subwoofer and thus wouldn't require a lot of power to get some sound happening so its quite possible to do this in your case.

ah okay thanks for the input joe :) very much appreciate it and oh my mate was telling me that i should just get new pair of splits and 6x9's or simple 6's at the back and only amplifying the SUB and leave the speakers to the head unit.

what is your opinion on this? i mean to follow your advice and just go straight to the good stuff, i'm gonna buy the parts slowly, first start off with the splits, then buy a sub and amping it with my current amplifyer for now then upgrade to a better 4CH or a mono for the sub and new rear speakers last.

Imho, leave the rears as they are. Definitely upgrade the splits, I'm probably going to be running a special VERY soon where I'm going to be working out a deal with splits and sound deadening so that could help you out.

The actual decision here is the amplifier arrangement. Whether its a 4 channel or a 2 channel and mono.

My opinion is to proceed in this order:

1. Splits and deadening
2. Amplifier for sub and subwoofer/box
3. Amplifier for splits

That should offer you the best possible improvement in the quality of your sound with every step.
