im hoping i dont get one either, i was on woodville road and i had to merge because i chose the turning lane and the light went green - nice , and i signaled and this prick in a ute sped up, and i was in 2nd gear so i powered on and went up to around 50-60 in a school zone lol however after analzying the cameras i beleive i was not in the right perifial vision of the cameras so i THINK im sweet !

sorry to say this but you will most probably get a ticket. there is a 10% leaniency but only cops give you that, speed cameras are set at the speed limit and when it flashes you will get a ticket i know this becuase a family friend installs them but get some1 to take your points if thats the issue

ah shit, i didnt see it flash thuogh, but it was broad daylight, so i dont think i would have seen it anyway. well my mate told me he ran through that camera at 80, and got nothing for it, so im hoping im as lucky as him. well im a P plater, so the camera would show up as having the p plate on the car, soooo it would be a problem for my parents or something to take the points right?

btw - since im on red Ps, my license would probably get suspended yeah? =[...

No, you'll lose 1 point. You have 3 points on your P Plates. They take 3 years to refresh. The fine will probably be $120 +/-

EDIT: Once you lose all 3 points you have the option of suspending your license for 6 months or to continue driving, but to get another infringement if you keep driving = 12 month suspension. Be mindful that offences such as running a red light and failing to display your P Plates will incur a loss of 3 demerit points.

I think cameras give you like a 5% benefit of doubt (EG. 63KM should be fine in a 60KM zone) but don't take my word on this.

It's a pity how most of us tend to get speeding fines by pure accident or loss of concentration, but we generally seem to get away with it when we're intentionally speeding.

Hope you don't get it mate. Otherwise, don't worry. There's a first time for everything and it's a damned sure way to learn a lesson about driving (for those of us who actually do learn our lessons).

Just be careful from now on and stay safe. Good luck.

Most of the time mobile cameras are set to a 10% threshold. Chances are you didn't get a fine.

NO ONE can tell you that. IT is at the police officers discretion IF passing a mobile speed measuring device. IF a static camera - a GOOD chance you will get a ticket.

How about you do it ( or did ) and tell us ?
