I got 14'' Rims on my car, but it's slammed, sometimes scrap muffler pipe when go over humps. I dunno how much dropped springs it on, most likely chopped springs from previous owner.

Just wondering what would be a good drop for a 14'' rim on a EG? I don't want much finger gap between the fenders, but I wanna be able to get over humps without scraping sometimes. How many '' I should drop it to? I don't want my car to look like a monster truck too. :P

And who here has 14'' rims on EG, post pics :P

2-2.5inch

2.5 inch would that make it over a hump without scraping the underneath of the car? 2.5 inch drop how much CM do you rekon it is from the ground? Cause currently my car is like 4cm off the ground LOL :S

2.5'' drop would be alright, not too high, not too low, I don't know how much it will fill your guards though.

You want to fill your guards with 14'' wheels but don't want your exhaust/sump/headers to scrape ? Cmon man, alot of people wish they could have that look without scraping shit.. You have to learn to live with it if you want that look.

Yeh I know but sometimes it gets annoying, I have to give up alot. Like not go shopping centres and stuff.

2.5 inch drop on 14 inch rims, anyone who has this, can you tell me how much finger gap between guards? Ta!

@ JDM Power, I'm assuming those are 14's and 2.5inch drop? You can make it over humps easily now? - What springs are you on?

i would have made it over speed humps easily in the first picture, if i didnt have the
K swap, im not using springs, using BC racing coils adjustable damper and height

2,5-3" will give you pretty much no gap b/w tyre and fender

but if ur real wanna be low, don't be a cheapass, get some coilovers

For sure I'll trade it with you. With 18 grand on top I'll drive it right over to your place.

Anyway, back to topic. Get a set of coilovers and it'll resolve your problem and satisfy your needs.

Hmmm a good set of coil overs not too pricey? How much you rekon it will cost?

brand new, depends on what you want, usually for base model in most brands is about 1400+ sometimes cheaper, i'm running cusco zero 2 on my ef8 crx, they have awesome damper settings, currently 1 1/2 finger gap at the front, clears speed humps and big gaps in the road with ease!
