hey guys,
basically i drive a late 97 ek hatch and the clutch feels weird now days when i step down on it. i dont know if its slipping but when i step down on it and start to release it, it feels like its got friction, as in its not really smooth. ive been told (by a pulsar driver) that there is a nut that i can tighten and the only one i could find is located neat the engine which when pulled, makes the engine rev. has anyone had this problem b4? what can i do?

oh, it's probably mechanical bro. when the car is at rest, just try stepping on it to test.

use your hand to get a better feel.

you mean it's just stiff at biting point? shouldn't be feeling that way i reckon. test it to see.

grease?

clutch is not adjustable on the Ek, so you either need to replace the clutch or machine the flywheel, also have a look at the hydaulics to the clutch pedal to make sure there is no leaking, as that could also be the problem.

dont know if this helps or not, but there is a nut on the top of the pedal's arm that can be adjusted, but it is for adjusting where the pedal sits when there is no pressure on it. whether playing with this will fix ur problem i dont know, but maybe its worth a try?
