Xcarlink only playing out of left speaker?

Anyone else having this problem?

also get the dreaded 8-99 freeze up now and then..

haven't been using it cause sound out of the left speaker only is simply annoying..

would love to hear from anyone whose found a solution..

Are you using a 3.5mm headphone jack input cable? If so check that it's a stereo cable and not mono.. On both ends of the jack cable the tips should have 2 black stripes on the chrome for stereo and only 1 for mono..

Try another cable.

If it's a direct iPhone connector, try re plugging the xcar unit back into your head unit.. May be a bad connection

i have heard of this happening -

on person had a very sharp bend in the cable that was cutting a wire another person had a grounding issue with the xcarlink unit itself.
