will be replaceing the engine in my ed6 civic. cracked the head and ended up with oil in radiator looks pretty grubby now but was fine before head cracked. is it worth getting radiator replaced with new unit, recored or just get it professionaly flushed and checked? whats the difference in price/effectiveness?

thanks in advance

reconditioning depends on where you go, the type of car, but however i had mine recon'd for $150, but that involves me bringing the radiator to the place. But here's one on ebay for $149.95 ex postage

Remember that cheap units often are very average in quality, but that saying I rather buy a new then reco my old one, price is very similar, so might as well get a new one. Check out the seller's feedback, last I saw they have 100%
