EG with TYPE R cluster

Hi i've got a Integra Type R cluster in my eg.
im having problems with the petrol light. it doesnt seem to light up at all. sometimes when i turn the petrol slightly goes up and vice versa down when i turn the other way. does anybody know the reason why? or could help me with the problem. or does it just not work in eg's.

ek9 can fit but need to mod it alot... best bet to get a type r dc2 one and slap that in..

got the same problem with my eg. most likely its not because of the type r cluster.
heard it could be because of the resistor in the tank that needs to be replaced hence your light not coming on when empty.
For the needle moving up and down im assuming its because of the fuel level sender in the tank thats moving when you turn.
Should be all apart of the same unit when u open up the tank. hope that helps.

As quangsuke said, it's usually the sender/sensor, I've owned 7 EG's and only the fuel light on ONE of them worked as they should, none of the others did.

Also make sure that the harness to your cluster is very secure.
