Urgent help required!

I recently bought a CTR centre console for my ek4. I tried installing it today, but I cant get the f*cking thing out. i have removed all of the screws (that I can see), the glove box and panel from other surrounding areas.
Basically I'm stuck on what I think would be the last step because the top half of the console will move out, but the bottom half (around he air-con controls) wont budge.

any help or DIY threads would be much appreciated

Have you removed the plastic piece that's directly under the centre console which in turn gives you access to the screws that's holding your stock headunit(if you still have it)?
You gotta remove the hazards and defogger as well as the headunit first before taking the centre console out.
The centre console itself has 5 screws(1 each behind the hazards and defogger switches, and then 3 down the bottom) that secures it in place as well as around 6 clips(4 on the top, 1 on each side and 1 on the bottom).

Hopefully this helps, make sure you disconnect everything behind the centre console (AC controls) first before you pull the thing out :)
