I am finding my euro very uncomfortable to drive.
I have changed my clutch numerous times from original to exhedy heavy duty back to original.
Now my gear changes feel very rough and jerky
when i accelerate it also has the same problem. Now i dont mean i slight jerk i mean i really uncomforatble jerk. The only way to attempt a slightly smooth ride is to precision the accelerator a slowly release the clutch.
Sometimes over revving. Sometimes the clutch feels like it catches early.
This is the most uncomforatble and annoying way to drive.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Or brainstorm any solutions.
Any help would be greatly apprecitated.
Fix this problem and i promise the person a case of beer.
Thanks

did you change gearbox fluids to anything other than OEM at any point in time? what fluid is currently lubricating the gears? maybe try a good flush and fill with oem fluid and see where that leads you.

I had a simular prob a while back, car would be very jerky and car would rev high when rolling in neutral, Honda couldn't find out the problem so I looked at it myself, there was a tube loose under the engine cover, maybe a vacuum sensor or something. I plugged it back in and problem solved! See if that is your prob.

Agreed.Change the MTF and then see how it drives.

Have you checked your master and slave clutch cylinders for leaks? Have you bled the clutch fluid through the slave cylinder? If you haven't, then do so.

Hi Aarong,
Yeah Honda replaced the slave cylinder and hydraulic thing around the clutch area. And the bushes and bled the clutch fluid. That didn't solve the problem. Still rough and jerky. Though i must say when they first bled the clutch fluid it improved it but still remainded a bit jerky. Then it became worse and worse. Then the bled it again but it didn;t improve it that time.

Hey,
Changing these fluids didn't work. We filled it with OEM fluid and no change still as jerky as anything.
Thanks

Check if the shift linkages for misalignment. Remove the airbox and look down at the transmission and you'll see it. Make sure everything is alright and the linkage cables (2 of them) are routed neatly and properly into the firewall.
If there is nothing else wrong, the next step would be to check the clutch release bearing to see if you were given a wrong part when you went back to the stock clutch. Also check the pressure plate for damage. Which pressure plate, clutch plate and flywheel are you using now?

Have you checked the engine mounts? Especially the front and rear ones as these dampen the rocking of the engine against torque. Broken mounts will cause the engine to rock back and forth when you shift, which can translate into a jerky sensation.

Have you also checked for vacuum leaks in the area from the throttle body to the head inlet ports?

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body with some subaru upper engine cleaner?

Cleans out any gunk in your throttle body, intake manifold and some carbon from the combustion chamber.
Have you checked the engine and transmission mounts? Checked that the front subframe is on at the correct torque settings?

I have the same issue on my euro r in NZ. Had my clutch completely replaced by honda under warranty to an exedy unit but still have that issue. Release bearing was done but yeah it can be very embarrasing especially with an aftermarket exhaust letting everyone know about your gear change!
Going to try a J's racing braided clutch line to see if it will tighten things up
