Ok after much looking for a turbo. I can say that putting a turbo in your jazz is like taking your wife to a 10,000 dollar spa. In the end you still have your wife maybe shes thiner, tanner and happy but she is still your wife and your out the 10,000 right.
So in comes 999 autos and they have a kit for 888. dollars but it has a s/s manifold and not sure what kind of turbo he uses. I will still need intercooler,injectors,fuel pump,oil pan and all the rest. Is this just a poor unit or could it be played with or upgreaded. It seems one could add to a basic kit. Im thinking all just go NOS. Any thoughts

that not even a kit its just a manifold and a small ass turbo for that price (prob a WRX sized turbo wat ever that run TD04?)

but yeah u still need all the other parts like pipes, cooler, ect ect.

imo if u really love ur jazz and want to keep it for a long time then consider it, is not and ur gonna get rid of it in like a year or 2 then just leave it stock.

take your wife to the spa and run away. thats well spent $10,000

yeah what riced civic said. its basically a shitter TD04, which wouldnt be to bad on your car, maybe a TD06.

but from what ive read on similar kits made for nissans is its not a very good idea, they claim to be rating turbo at like 19 psi or 22psi? (i think thats td04 nice spot) , but on american forums most people who push past 15psi experience there fan coming out through the exhaust !~

i know its kinda exxy, but if you can afford to go tripple 999, maybe you should ask them to bring you in a topfuel zero1000 turbo kit!~ 5k

Ya I have looked at the k20 trans plant but by the time you do that you could have gone out and paid for most of a r type. I got a quote at 20,000. I love my little jazz so I think im just going to build my own kit over time. If I might ask a few questions???????

1) im going to get a hks or garett turbo :
(Q) are mounting plates easy to fab up for honda ?

2) ecu
(Q) would it be best to get a computer that works with the honda ecu or replace it ???

3) (Q)Is any intercooler fine

4) (Q) What about the BOV and or any other bits

i got a full HKS turbo kit from japan and installed it on my cvt jazz just plug and play basically took 1 day to install.. its amazing ive been running it for around a month now.. and now my mate wants to buy it off me.. cost around 6k all up.. because the jazz is such a light car i beat a turbo 2.5 skyline flat in a dragg the other day.. but in terms of engine life i know it was decrease dramaticly..so might sell it.. im running 17inch rims may just downgrade to 15inch..

ok Ive got a new thought:o. What about buying the $1000 turbo kit off e-bay then replace the turbo part and bov with a garett gt2554r 0r t25. I have seen them around for $1,199. That could be a way to get the hp I want without spending the $4000 for a hks kit. Anyone went this way or heard of it working.

y spend on changing things over and over when u can just buy the HKS kit for a little more and saves u the hassle in making sure every thing works correctly from 2nd hand parts. ebay u never know the quality of the parts.

i wanted to get a cheap 5k kit and ended up getting a 9k kit, in the end i found it that i have save myself alot of trouble and i know everything is new and works.

for my opinion, if u having cvt then dont increase too much power (particularly the torqu) cause cvt is so sensitive abt the torqu , just mod the handling parts and intake and full exhaust and make sure u stay 15'' shoes then u will find ur jazz is still so fun to drive...if u r manuel then of course u can go any where u want , i hav heard a ppl tune their jazz up to 350ps in china with L15a engine and if u want life and power K20a is ur only choice dude...good luck

Ya I have the 1.5 l manual. I have also thought about the k20 refit but very costly. I think the turbos the one.

but when doing a conversion keep in mind other expenses you will need to upgrade brakes, exaust, and the petrol consumption! and you also need to be very careful with the gearbox as it may need replacing once u do the conversion, can set u back 2k..

Hi mate,

Save and invest in the HKS Honda Jazz (Fit) turbo kit. With the exchange rate where it is you may be able to get a good deal from a US distributor.

Link for the kit;

http://www.hksusa.com/info/?id=3503

Even call Ivan @ Hipower Racing on Bris southside and enquire if he can import a kit for you. His details are;

I nearly bought a Jazz from Carsales that 999 had fitted a turbo kit too. It was a cool little car.

Cheers,
Luke

So hard to decide what to do. I have a 09 vtis and i am wondering if it will be better just to get a used S3 rather than modding my jazz. But i really dont need two cars. ah well what do u guys think

Want something reasonably fast but not a race car. I am just tired of struggling up hills

Riced_Civic

imo just change to a lower gear and it wont be a struggle.

only do the turbo or swap if u consider keeping the car for a while
