civic type r (latest) losing top end??

My mates civic type r (the uk one) is losing top end power when you rev it out, it seems like it runs out of puff even before redline, from about 6000rpm that is.

the cars got about 5000km until next service.

I dono if FN2's have that :S that's not like honda to do that.

Is he using the right fuel? choked fuel filter? Air filter?

Maybe he's also had one to many Angus burgers?

prob fuel pressure somewer like wen i gets up high revs maybe not enough psi gettin through the pump , rails, or injectors .. not sure wat it could be man just havin a guess
