Yes it could be your rotors are warped
did you replace with OEM pads or performance pads?

had the same problem, most likely your rotots or you need your wheels aligned.

Did you do every bolt back up properly?

your brake pads have not mated well with your rotors i would suggest getting new rotors or getting your current rotors machined.

Hey man, had the same problem with my ED.

Guess what the problem was ?

The discs weren't screwed on properly! The 2 screws on the face of the disk, try taking your wheel off and inspecting it.

did you follow the instructions in break-in in the pads? It's a good idea to properly machine the rotors when you change to new pads, or at the very least perform the break-in procedure.

yeah shaking when braking is normally caused by a warped rotor. check the legal width of the standard rotors (honda service dept. can tell you.) and see if you are able to get them machined. if not i would speak to Adam at 999 automotive he does awesome prices for RDA slotted rotors, cost me the same amount for my CRX that it would cost to get original honda ones. and much better stopping power.

Rotors don't contribute much to stopping power. The brake pads do.

they do if there not flat. the rotors and pads need to mate well together otherwise they will not work.

yeah i got RDA slotted rotors and a set of Bendix premium sport pads, front and back, and the car stops really well now compaired to the stock breaks. i think the lot only cost me about $500 too.

That's because Bendix premium are much better than the OEM pads.
