Regassing Enquiry

Hey guys,


I just got a relatively new a/c compressor installed into my civic and now I need to get it regassed. Everyone I ask to regas it for me always asks me "What was the oil like in the previous compressor" and that heaps of factors could factor in on how much it could cost.

Just to give some information:

- The oil inside the previous compressor was fluoro green i think?
- The compressor was completely purged and it had also seized.

Would this just be a matter of regassing or would it be much more?


And can anyone recommend a good place to get it done in the penrith area?

just to clarify - there was NO oil in the old compressor - it was totally seized.
The new compressor had oil in it. Alittle leaked out but it was in there !

dont know anyone in penrith but shift in lansvale does a good job.

if you do find a shop ni penrith, make sure they check for leaks etc

just for future reference how much does this typically cost to regas?
