:wave: Hey Ozhonda and all of the member/ newcomers.
My names Sam, 17, and a i.t networking trainee who lives in newcastle. A couple of months ago i bought a Honda Integra Gsi 1996 model repairable writeoff.

I have always been a fan of honda's on the way they have been built (excellent build quality) , performance wise, the sound, and wanted one since i was 10. :honda:

So far i have spend about 14 hours fixing it and is now road legal....just in time for rego. (thought ive spent enough for a while lol)

When i bought my car the front was crumpled in, the radiator was damaged, the bonnet was crumpled and there was no oil left in the motor (thanks previous owner), the windscreen wipers were snapped off, the sunroof has been rusted, last but not least scratches on my paint work and major gutter rash and a small rust spot infront of my sunroof. :(

Im up for a challenge and id love to see this carr looking clean and looking away from stock.

welcome! you should've just bought a decent condition one, better than wasting your time fixing it.. You can get a gsi for 8k ish, maybe less, but then again its your car :)

couldnt afford a better car at the time and now im always broke because of it. kinda sucks. and i kinda dont wanna sell it and being stuck driving my parents 4x4 till i have enough money for a vti-r. the 4x4 takes $100+ on fuel a week.

its pretty hard selling a repairable write off man :/ unless some noob comes in and buys the car no knowing its a w/o.. lol. well.. Do your car some good :D at least some vtec in it ;) ;) ;)

yehh id love a VTEC engine in my well deserving honda, plus if i was to sell it to someone they might take it too the wreckers and we wouldnt want a honda in the wreckers wouldnt we.
would anyone know where to get a good priced b18c2 engine, with roughly 130XXX-150XXXkms on it?
but id need to do a manual convertion and thats gonna be pricy too

search is your friend when it comes to engine pricing. lol

I know a guy who did the conversion himself, too him 8hrs lol. Spent $500 for tranmission :thumbsup:

haha yehh b18c2 engines average out to be $3500 lol
really?......ive been getting quoted $800+ for manual trannys and yehh i dunno for the rest.....noob lol, but there should be a plug through the firewall to let my clutch linkages and cables through....but i dunno the rest :(, but ive been dreading to spend $2000ish for it all

yehh i shoulda, but im only fixing this up to make a profit to sell it so i can get a dc2 vti-r =D :thumbsup:

nahh unfortually, when i bought it i didnt know too much bout it. loved the type r integra since i was like 10 on video games but never thought to look into it, got a preface lift on it and basically just fixing it up, a few mods to gain value. then sell it so i can grab a vti-r facelift
