yeh i didnt think so, king springs only do a low which isnt worth the drop as it will only bring it down a bit, il probly have to save up for coilovers... any suggestions on which brand at a decent price

Go with Eibach, they drop about 1" front and 1.25 rear (you'll be risking true handling benefit if you go too low). They're Progressive which is much better than Kings. They're around 490 for the DC5, not sure about yours.

does anyone know how much it would be to raise a car a couple of inches? new springs? rough price? my car loves to scrape over speed humps and driveways.....

Buy adjustable shocks and lowered springs.

ie. Koni Yellows + Eibach

Mines already low but because of the adjustable height konis i could drop it even lower lol

i wonder how low the koni can go, i never got to install mine lol.

anyways i got pedder springs for sale if u need :P 2" drop roughly, 1.5 at the rear

anyways, its unsafe, the more u cut off, the more un safe it is. but i know tons of people driving with cut springs that don't have much dramas

is it dangerous cause it changes the compression rate?makes it softer because there is less coil?

it does that, so when going over speed bumps, your car is heaps more bouncy and is more likely to hit the ground and damage your car, so you have to do everything real slow

but its dangerous as there are possibilities as the spring can come out of the shock since its been cut, when you're driving. causing loss of control = no good.

but non of my friends that have cut their springs have crashed, but the spring has popped out, since they cut it heaps, but the just pulled over, got a few mates to lift the fender and someone to kick the spring back into the shock.

the only story i've heard that someone crashed was in america, where he cut only 1 spring, leaving the car lop sided and bang wrote of his car lol

more then likely your car wont even be using the springs and just bouncing off the bump stops in your shocks.
