heaps of people use power fc... how well the car runs will depend on the tuner...

the tuner will also determine how the graph looks

Which workshop do you recommend to tune power fc in Melb?

I tune power Fc's all the time .... typically on rx7's and r33's as most Honda work is all Hondata but yeah let me know.

Can the engine be start when when the power fc first installed without being tune?

BLKCRX

You need either the hand controler, or the FC edit software ( which is what i use on power FCs)
Will it start. hmm depends on your modifications... n also if the unit is new or used...n what settings it has

Vafc hmm iv been tuning those for 6+ yrs now ;-)

Here's info on FC data - software for powerFC

http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/fc-datalogit-faq.html
Using a laptop is a lot faster / u get more results... faster !

it replaces the need to have a hand controller.

Yeah im in Melbourne, i work out of Genesiss Racing, in blackburn and RazzTech in thomastown who are my Hondata Dealers, i also do all my personal tuning for my clients down at STi docklands.. which is the best dyno setup here in Australia.
Email me on james@hondata.com.au or call me on 0417 875 785 ps what car do you wanta tune ? manual or auto / modifications

James tuned my car in January this year and I've had no problems since.

People change, I think we need to appreciate that.

THx
It uses laptop instead of the hand controller, gives you bit more options and fine tune, no one in Japan use hand controller to tune power fc, except some very little tuning, but basicly they use the edit software

james i gotta ask, whats with the skinny ass thing?
ya gotta have something to grab onto ;)
hehehehe

i know off topic, sorry sorry sorry :D

and ont the power fc, all the ppl i know that use it all have no probs with it (sure most are non-hondas but still...) although like u will hear so so so many times, IT ALL DEPENDS ON TUNER

Take it from me the Power FC is one of the best and I have sold+used+tuned
alot of them and other than being slow to tune with the hand controller you will
be very happy with the unit if it is tuned correctly for your car.

once again its up to the tuner...apparently its a pain in the arse to tune power fc...and theres not many good power fc tuners floating around melbourne...so i've heard....im still tossing up power fc or microtech for my dc2r..

And 2nd q's is No........ although i heard someone say that they are Apexi dealer... but.......

edw-R
27-11-2004, 05:34 PM
Yeah. I think so. The apexi dealer tuned very safety. They tuned the car (my friend's car )increase around 5 kw with modification Toda A cam, Valve spring, cam gear, port&polish head, full exhaust system, full intake system, high performance leads and Power fc. What do you think??

BLKCRX
27-11-2004, 05:45 PM
5Kw does sound low.. but its having the "right" combination of parts and tuning both mechanical (cam gears) and ecu that makes power.

i was gonna get an fc for mr car when do b18c1 swap.... i know there is fc for dc2r but thats obd2 ,is there a way to do power fc with the obd1 wiring?
i'm already doin obd0 -->0bd1 swap in my car when swap, would rather keep it at that that doin a bloodyy 0bd2 swap -_-

lookin at keepin it NA until off P's then lookin to boost, how would the power fc be for my needs? most ppl seem to say go for microtech or autronic for what i want but power fc is my other option...

Don't think he satisfy at all, i don't know much about it, do you think a 1.6 litre engine could get used to those "larger size" products? Well, maybe i could say, keep your engine condition as good as possible as stock before you do any mods right? i doubt with his on wheel power when the engine is totally stock

Would the power increase fuel consumption of daily driving??
If so, how many less km's would u get per tank of an average honda, say a prelude or integra?

panda[cRx]
28-11-2004, 06:32 AM
depends on mods, coz good tuning would mean better fuel consumption wouldnt it??

preludacris
28-11-2004, 02:52 PM
So it could be tuned to get better fuel consumption? Wouldnt that mean a loss of power tho? Is it possible to get extra kw using the fc and not compromise fuel economy, or is an increase in fuel consumption just a given...

Both, is no problem... Especially using an FC...
This of course is asuming your tuner knows what he's doing...
Obviously WOT (Wide open throttle) fuel consumption isn't going to be super-star... But it's no great trick to match or better factory ecconomy @ cruise & part throttle...

With 1.6L engine. I saw one with the same setting with mugen cpu and lower final drive. His car is faster than stock dc2. What do you think??

i don't care about how a vti-r faster than a dc2r, it's just too hard to find out the truth, it doesn't really related to the mods sometimes, as you know, if a ek4 could lose power, why coudn't a dc2r lose power? i've seen dc2 faster than dc2r, but what's that mean?

anyway, what TODA AU said really got a point, there are too many products on the market which doesn't give you much benefits at all, people just listen to ppl to modify everything, but are they really understand what they are doing?

I have a question. Does it a fact stock dc2 faster than stock dc2r?? I can't believe. Is it something problem occur(maybe the driver)??
Anyway, when i mod my car, i also had loss power problem. But the problem was from the tuner. I tuned the same setting 3 times from 106kw to 123kw. I think i still can tune it better in the future. Thanks for your post!!:)

No i mean it's very hard to say which car is faster than the other one, just too many factors here........

Can you gurantee that everyone's car can do the exactly the same time in secs? So you know what i am talking about? You will never be able to calculate those factors right?

You really got me, I really dunno how to answer you, if you really want to ask me without any other factors, Yes, of course ITR is faster than I vti-r, but you are talking about lost power and driver here right? so sorry man, i really have no comment at all......

and i am not tricky, anyway what do you mean by tricky? sorry i start to miss out what you've ....... How tricky to compare 2 cars? Is it related?
