Hi All

I have searched the threads and not really found an answer regarding cats, I am after a hi-flow cat but it must be small in size (diameter)

Is there a big difference between brands with quality?

Do many Exhaust companies have a large selection of cats to try (size wise - dont have much room - B16A with 4-2-1 mugen - in a mini)

Who are the recommended suppliers/fitters?

Also noise level, do cats have a bearing on noise level, my car will predominantly be a track car so must be below certain decibel limits!

Any help appreciated, dont know much about them!

Cheers

In size do u mean length or diameter?

They do in different diameter, length there are some different ones depending on brand.

The best performing from an EPA point of view is stock.
From a speed performance , steel cat (better than a hi-flow cat), i've had all 3, u do notice the difference.

They do affect noise, the better performance ones make the car louder as they are not as restrictive.

quality wise, the good ones don't break, and clog ur exhaust.
An original magic cat is good(beware of copies), but your local muffler shop will know which brands are good. The good ones also come with lifetime warranty from breakage.
