Well it was time to see how she all goes. A dissapointing night but atleast there still lots of tuning to be done. Considering the rushed preparation and no tuning yet here is :

Make/Model: Honda Civic
Class: 4cyl 1.8l NA
Mods: too many
ET: 14.281
mph: 96.35
kph: 155.06
60': 2.276

Hey man 14's is still good.

Can't wait to see how fast your car is when,
1. It's tuned
2. It's stripped
3. And has a massive set of slicks up the front.

:D

yeah, wasnt too bad. from watching my one piece of advice would be stiffer shocks and springs up back. that should lower your 60 ft. def 13's then
pretty decent trap speed so its got the power

Well you got to keep in mind that you have a balanced car... if you wanted to build a drag machine from the start then id call you an idiot.. 14'sss is good enough..
more tuning, different weather conditions, more experience, you'll get 13's.. way more then enough..

remove the body kit and you'll shave a second off j/jk ~o~ On a serious note what does your car weight at?

Like above you need stiffer suspension and pratice your launches. With that power should be hitting mid-high 13's.

Nice run man, congrats.

Seems like the new motor was worth it! having a 14 second n/a car is good for a drag strip, but probably come in to its own on a track with a good susp. set up.

I can definatelly confirm that - ive had my CRX rear shocks stiffened to 80% and i can feel a better response to the power...

yeah i knew my rear end was soft but yes i agree, my car isnt a drag car, its a daily driver. My best run of the night was the 14.2 when i was just getting the hang of the R comp rubber. My first 5 efforts were a waste of time as i was getting disgraceful 60' times around 2.4.
I fried my clutch on the first run whilst warming up the tyres but thats no excuse.
Yes with lots more practice i will get there.
Cheers heaps to those who came up for a chat
So clearly it needs to be tuned a bit more and have the engine run in a little better and please will someone let me know what rpm this puppy should be shifted at :( lol

and cheers for the props :)

You would have got a dyno when u got your ecu tuned correct? If so have a look where power curve starts dropping off and that would ideally be the time to shift. However if there is no drop off curve on the graph and the mofo keeps pulling, change gears before cutoff..... :) Straight foward really...

no.. im yet to receive a dyno readout.
The car has just been assempled to be driven safely, no tuning has taken place yet.
