Bearing Noise when accelerating

hi,
I get noise when im accelerating at RPMs above 2500 and drops when my change gear as RPMs drop and goes higher again....any ideas what could it be before i head to the mechanic ??

could be the Input shaft bearing, or some other bearing in your tranny, dosnt sound like the thrust bearing though.
is it more rev related or road speed related.

above 2500 bearing from somewhere deep in the engine...2 mechs said it could be bottom end of the car.... :( :(
