looking at this intake, is it a good intake (for b18c). the fact that it works its way to the air outlet is ok, but having no shroud or box to cut off engine bay heat would lead to heat soak wouldnt it?
give me alternatives, or is there a airbox avail, or is it a custom job

i have seen a skunk2 airbox in the for sale section on this site.

ive always thought that if you run some sort of pipe to direct air from the front of the car to the short ram then you should be ok

coppers will give u more shit if u have an exposed pod filter in ur engine bay....better have it covered so they dont give u trouble

There is no skunk2 airbox, that's just a custom shroud with a Skunk2 sticker slapped on there.

For a J's racing Tsuchinoko a.k.a. whale penis, you'd need to have a custom shroud made if you're really that paranoid.

If it's sealed from the engine bay, then it's . The actual theory behind why the cops defect open pods are: in the event of a backfire through the intake, which could cause/start an engine bay fire. And that they make more noise (however you would struggle to find an intake to break a db test) And we pay these idiots to look after our roads.:zip:
