I have had issues with Options - I came home after the install and opened the hood to inspect the work, only to find a roll of solder wire, stray cable ties, loose offcuts of wiring and other odds and ends left in my engine bay. Also pretty average install, loose movement sensors among other things. But they are one shop that will install most types of aftermarket alarms which are hard to find whic is a big bonus. They do charge accordingly though

The guy i use is a really good Auto Sparky.
He's on Sydney Rd, Coburg.
Sparks Auto Electrical
DOES FANTASTIC WORK!
Everytime he's done stuff on my car, he's never left mess there.
Ask to speak to Garry, say Carl recommended me
Don't have his number but look it up on the net

starters are illegal, plus it dont snow in australia for us to have them. be very careful with what you are told about remote start, check with your local authorities to know where you stand legally and with your insurance company as if something happens and you have insurance you might find that it will be void.

Totally illegal in Victoria. We checked with RTA just weeks ago.

nah i didnt wire up the remote start, i checked with Vic raods and my insurance company before hands. i wasn't really interested in the remote start function, i bought it for the gps tracking and paging functions.

does that go the same for guns?
i contemplated getting an alarm with remote start and hooking it up to something else :)
a lil bit wanky but would be fun to tie the output to something like the sunroof - not sure how they work but it'd have to be doable:p

remote start is not the best option, its not hard to find programmable remotes designed to intercept other signals.
I know of places that sell these, there about $250 they tap into other key signals, never tried it myself though.
Appearnatly they can unlock any car aslong as your within 10m of the person while he is unlocking his car, after this it programs itself and remmebers.
Crazy shit ayE? lol

highly unlikely these days with code hopping remotes, only fools put remote start alarms in cars or ones that dont care about insurance being void. maybe insurance is not one of those things on most peoples minds these days. insurance isnt cool for most kids :)
