Warranty voided if servicing not done at honda dealer?

Hi guys,

I just got the 09 FL FD and my 10,000kms service is up. I read in other threads that if I bring my car to my own mechanic, my warranty will be voided?

I realised that there is a very tiny chip on my windscreen and am i correct to assume that it will not be covered by the warranty?

As long as genuine parts and fluids are used , it is covered.

But...a chip in your windshield is not covered.
That is covered under automotive insurance.

cost about 200~300 for new windscreen.

but usually they can drill it and fill it up, not to sure how much that costs

as long as you get OEM parts and get ur logbook stamped by a qualified mechanic, you'll be fine.

cheers guys...thanx alot for the input! I guess i just go ahead and let my mechanic to check it as he is also a friend so I feel better and ideally he will not overcharge mi like some dealers did...
