I'm doing the wiring on my engine I have a question. Since im using the stock loom from the cabin to the engine bay. I need to run some wires:
IAB Sensor A17
Knock Sensor D3
O2 Heater A6

Question is, I'm planning to run the wires straight to the towers and let the engine loom do the rest.

Therefore I'm looking for some color codes and where the wire is located on the tower.
Ie. Left or Right Plug.
Colour of the wire output to the Sensors.

what engine bay wiring loom are you running ? Do you have the knock sensor actually in place on the engine ? Follow the colour of the wire directly off the KS for a short cut.

I had a d16y1 engine in. for some reason i looked at the driver tower and there is a pink blue wire and there seems to already be a male connector attached. Does that mean the d has an IAB already?

Don't you need to convert OBD2 to OBD1 so that you can plug the harness onto your VTi-R ECU? Since the loom under your dash (1995 civic vti) is OBD2. Correct me if I'm wrong.

civic vti is obd1 and teggy vtir is obd1 need to run wires.

oh really! Hmmm... i thought civic Vti is obd2...something new to me...hey, that's gonna be an easy swap isn't it? Wiring would be the hardest among all i reckon.

So all EGs uses OBD1 and EKs uses OBD2 yeah... Great! So if you are using B18C7 or 1996 and above vti-R you'll need to convert your OBD1 to OBD2 to suit type-R / VTi-R ECU?

yes you can do that. convert the loom and run a few new wires. to suit the obd2.

note to add IAB found to be red/blue.

alternativel buy a obd1 to obd2 harness. i think or other way around? do some research
