Hey guys... did a little bit of reseach today on importing cars from japan to sydney... but im still unsure with the rules and regulation of importing japanese cars to australia... sooo is it actually possible to import an EK9 or JDM Dc2R to sydney and register it to drive on the road...? because lately they caught my eye and was just curious about the whole topic of whether to even bother trying to import one or not???

If any other information can be provided on what i missed out on saying please do so....

Cheers guys

if its a personal import the car needs to be owned for 1 year in japan before it can be brought over to sydney, then youve got the compliance to deal with gotta change all the standards from japan-sydney.
alot of hassle, paper work and money.

but if a business were to import it from over seas that would be fine then wouldnt it, and they would have to deal with all the paper work and so forth...???

the answer is always going to be no
you can import over to drive as a race car if you have a cams licence
or than that have to prove you own and used for 1 year by you
but why dont you bring it over and just slap on a no plate
and drive it around a few times

as every1 has said personal import the only way... the other way is to pay someone give them your details in that country buy it under your name and rego it under your name and bring it over after a year but its hard since you actually gotta be there to rego it lol but ye good luck...

or buy one.. bring it here and rego it under a ek4

4. look better than AUDM Dc2R

if you import one under race then slap on some plates what happens when you get into a car accident and you don't have insurance..... or even worse you do have insurance and the agency outs you to the fuzzzzz then your f@cked on a federal level..... last time i checked it was $25k for braking that rule

The one defect linked you is a Genuine JDM DC2R. No point of importing if the car is right infront of you. Dings on doors are easy to find and replace. Just find any CW integra and swap it around. LOL lucky my one is still immac.

lol cost you shitloads, but even if u swapped over the parts onto the gsi, you're still missing the chassis from a type R, like the welds and all the little bits and pieces that make it lighter

I want a captiva blue EG6 SiR-S.

Chance of obtaining one.... Slim to none.

Can only hope rules are changed in the near future which is also a slim chance.

If people were wanting to import a wreck, where would be the best place to seek out a wreck?? Are their certain importers around to help with this or what??

Everyone talks importing a car, but where do you find the car?
