Hey guys,

I'm new to this whole car business and I just purchased a 2006 Civic Sport and I noticed all this stuff about FD2, FK2's and EX, LX and all...What are all these codes and where does my Civic fit in???

Anyhow, going to be travelling to Tokyo in a few months and was wondering whether you guys know of any places in Japan where I can get some good stuff that I can bring back for my car? Just after little stuff that I can probably shove into my luggage, not stuff that I'd have to get shipped back.

Cheers!

Hi ,
your car is considered as a FD2 since its a sport model
a non sport model is FD1
EX/LX is american version of civics ( somthing like VTI VTI-L)
FK2 is american? looks like the Civic Type R FN2

correct me if i am wrong:zip:

i thnik the FK2 is the si.

edit: the fk2 IS the si.

for 8thgen civics we have FD1, FD2, FD5, FD3, FA1, FA5, FG1, FG2, FN2, FK

i thnik that's it :S

The basic gist of it.
FD1 - R18 engine
FD2 - wider fenders for the K20 engine
FD3 is in singapore/thailand (not sure)
FD5 is the canadian acura CSX

I usually bring back small maintanace parts like wiper blades, globes, oil filter etc because they are cheaper and you get a huge range. Also don't forget the air freshers ;)
Autobucks, auto remessa, etc, are large chain car accesory stores, and are all over japan.

I've tried looking for Super Autobacs in Tokyo but I can't seem to understand their website, do you know if there are any near the Shinjuku area?

I can't seem to find 'Auto remessa' at all...
