Did both cars have standard suspension mods etc? or did the EG had slight mods to it ?

What year models did the EG have powerwindows?

You'll want a GLI if you go an EG, Fuel Injection and Power Windows.

I think only the EG Breeze came with manual windows? (correct me if I'm wrong)

All EK's have Fuel Injection (even the CXI's)

CXI EK's have manual windows and Mirrors, after that its all power options.

In my opinion its about the same, though you can get EG's cheaper then EK's and EG's are lighter.

EK Cxi has no Tacho!!!!!! lols i bought a cheap EK back then, i thought manual windows wouldnt really bother me as there is only 2 windows anyways. It took me a number of drives to realise.. WTF?? no Tacho, instead of buying a Gli cluster. I chose to sell the car and bought a EK Gli, when a cheap one came up

what about engine bay size of the EG?

is it able to drop in mostly any honda engine with minimal effort?

eg body lighter and got some good adv like a b18c7 can straight fit into a eg using its original mounts all from the dc2r.
i reckon u should go with the eg if u want a light body. 5lug it with dc2r brake set up and a b18c7 there u have it.. a machine haha

what engine do u want? b series will bolt into both cars no problem. EK has slightly better hood clearance for some engine combos

I am still unsure what to put in for a track build

as for bonnet i planned on changing it to a fibreglass styled one that should give it slightly more clearance

but the motors im thinking now are the B18C ( think thats the DC2R engine) or the H22a

i would like the H22a but im unsure of the aftermarket support for the engine and tuning ability

where as i think the B18C is a slightly newer engine with abit more aftermarket support what do you guys think?

once later on after a few seasons of racing and maxing out the engine i might do a frankinstein combo i think its called?? when i have enough money hahahaha

i would go for the B18c its more easy to look for parts
B20 would be also good !
dont noe about the h22a but i think its a heavier engine? not too sure

the H22 is heavier but you can frankenstein it and do a H23 bottom end with the H22 head on it and have a butt load of toque and V-Tech to boot. and EG would be unstopable with one of them in it. the other combo to think about and is proven awesome and tuinable is the B20 bottom with the B16 head. again, huge amounts of toque and V-Tech. this was done in someone i know's car and it was fast enough to outrun police cars on the highway, but that is also why he was sent back to hong kong lol. but for a track car would be awesome, as the B20 bottom is not as heavy as the H22/23 franki. but if you want reliability, go a straight B16A or B18C.

i was thinking a B16C due to the fact im doing it on a budget

but i was thinking once its done i could do a Frankenstein conversion or a K20A upgrade then once against when i get some more money ill wreck a accord eruo engine and do that

h22a bad ground clearance, harder work to get ac an pwr steer in both eg and ek. Have had experience with both motors in both cars.

so B18c it is!

currently have an ek (cxi- wind up windows dont bother me), running a b18c7. it has all teh dc2r gear- lsd, gearbox, 5 lug, so its a nice setup
it came with an ek4 interior, but i just changed out the dash cluster to the ek9.
overall its a fun drive. nice and torquey in every gear.
its a little harsh in terms of ride however, the hard bushings and suspension is unforgiving. im slowly piecing it together with some nice parts to finish it off
