Hi guys
a friend was changin over hsi battery in his prelude gen2 86model and the terminals accidently touch adn now the car will not start or crank over at all everything is dead what could be the problem

in the in-engine bay fuse box , located next to the battery.

well start with the ECU and ECU backup fuses.

how many amp do you think they would be?

take the fuse out, look at the number on it.. find a replacement.

if you're getting nothing you have most likely blown the main fuse.
in the fuse box there are a couple of expased fuses...not the little plastic ones. they just look like strips of metal between 2 terminals. those are your main fuses.
pretty sure one of them will be blown.
cant remember the fuse amparage...been 2 years since i ownes a 86 lude and it wasnt on the road for the last year i had it. so 3 years since i had to work on one. :(
