View Full Version : Installing Simota Air Intake Kit?

i need a bit of help, i bought a simota air intake kit on ebay and im going to do it myself.
my engine is a stock d16y
i sort of know what im doing tell me if im wrong:
i remove the air box lid and tubing, take out the panel filter and theres a hole thats were i connect the adapter, then i remove the bolts and take out the airbox. is that right

Theres also the other part of the airbox, its in the guards. I'm sure you'll realise it when you take the top part of the stock intake off.

yeah take off the resonator as it won't be doing anything anymore appart from xtra weight\
i got a similar thing on my d16. love the noise :D

if you really want to you can feed a pipe from the filter through the hole and into the front bumper somewhere for cold air intake, i haven't didn't see the need
