If you don't wanna be hassled by cops, then get some 6000k bulbs.
I just linked each led to Parker light
Nobody give advices on wheels? Pls

link it to the parker? so u have to turn f & r parker lights on daytime as well? hmmm now I'm not too sure with the legality on that one...

If ur DRL's are in ur bumper, you'll get hassled by cops cos they're 'fog lights'... d-bag cops.
i say switch ur 8000k for 6000k, 8000 is just blue and u can't really see anything
yes i love ur wheels, but will need to see it on the car. If u can find a pic of your car side-on, and pictures of the rims installed on a car, side on, i can photoshop it for you
http://www.meccaone.org/images/hid-chart.jpg
Yes, I have to turn the Parker light on but I think it's ok . Beause I also changed the Parker lights to two T10 purple LEDs. People can't really see from front in day time, and from back just same as other cars. Put on switch was too much work to do.
I think fog lights issue should be fine. I got 3000k hid fog lights installed but only used few time. Cops won't use fog lights as excuse because it's not fog light.
I am in Sydney does anybody knows about good workshop for wheels? I only know one shop on prince highway and quickjax?

Thx for picture of hids 6000k looks better. I will get 6000k from eBay
R there any rules from RTA that say no taillights on during daytime? I think not

omg dude why are ur parkers purple/blue? i posted another thread and everyone told me it was illegal to have anything except white parkers. i bought both and cud only instal the white ones -_-.
which drl's did u buy? how much were they? im thinking of installing some too but im thinking of using flexible strip of leds so it has the audi effect :D
in regards to the undercar neons. theyre illegal. i was disappointed too when i heard about that. theres no real point in connecting to door because it means u can only show it off when ur parked, and that wud be kinda gay and pointless. alas the rta is gay and i wud like to see some empircal evidence that undercar lights distract drivers and cause accidents.
i was going to put a red led bar near the rear lip so i can lie and say it was a taillight and a white one and say it was a fog light, but the hassle of that without it really being undercar kit put me off.

Under car neons look tacky. You'll get over it soon. It draws unwanted attention toward you.
it's illegal to have red/blue parkers because it's police imitation. Is there no existing DRL circuit? In the US, it's a legal requirement for all cars to have DRL's as a safety measure... Maybe you could perhaps stick a fuse in...
because T10 led parker light not bright as HID, people cant really see it.
undercar kit...err ....just forget it.....audi styde is good but it has too much work to do and there are problems with warranty.

with the fog lights, what he's saying is, a lot of cops dont know the specifics about cars (read: some cops are dumb) and so when they see your DRLs they'll say "any lights that are on your front bumper which clearly aren't part of the headlight assembly are fog-lights. you have them on, and its not foggy. here, have a fine"
depends on whether the cop is a d*ckhead or not. some cops are really nice, some are out to get you for no reason.
but anyway, we're just looking out for you. heh. personally ive never been hassled for having my foggies on. ...then again i just turn them off as soon as i see any sign of the red n blue lol

it'LL be better if u mount your day Led light inside the headlight housing then that wont be a hassle for cops :) just say they r factory built :) like u can do it in the circle motion like angle eyes

100% correct.
However, Mazda 6's have foglights... embedded into the headlight housing! so no cop would ever know.
thx for that post, i dont see what is it looks like after finished, anyway take off the bumper and do sort of works cant be done by myself, not like mine, took 2 hours.
btw my drls more like 2008 audi Q7 look. wahaha
for fog-light i prefer just keep it off, dont want get any troble with stupid cops

true that. that's where a kiss-ass suck-up "im so sorry sir" attitude CAN come in handy..

Yes u could have purple or blue Parkers as well
just depend would u like to test cop's limit?

so we cant have blue because its similar to police red and blue
what about other colours lol. that site denot linked to was a good idea. although if we did it on the cu2 it wudnt really work because there wud be no space for the light to shine out of. instead if u look closely under the headlight casing (exterior) theres a small gap between the headlamp and the front bumper. you can fit an led strip in there easily.

It happens - you can get away sometimes. I once read somewhere here that someone got pulled over by a cop. The cop noticed HID's (illegal if not from factory), and didnt' give him a fine - instead he checked whether or not the ballasts were safely and securely installed, rather than having 'dangling' ballasts.
I don't know whether or not to believe this, but it does sound plausible if the cop's in a good mood. You're entirely at their mercy.

i mean like dont u have to be in on coming traffic for you to see your headlights. and ud usually only have it on at night, so its difficult to see if its a p plater you can prey on. then u gotta do a U turn. and u also have to know whther they are hids in the first place and if its a factory setting or not.
seems like alot of bs if you get stopped. if hes following you, unless they stopped u for another reason and then noticed, i cant see how you can get caught.

I thought that too, until i realised that the Accord V6 Luxury has reflectors and HID's (although they're not 6000k). Civic FD's have HID's in other countries - japan and NZ. (also not 6000k)
6000k is for the bluey-ness associated with the bimmers that have that bluey sparkle (due to lens chromatic abberation)
I think the requirement of HID's is the correct setup as well as headlight washers

i got pulled over and because i have 8000k hid, there abit more blue then the oem hid the cop wanted to check the ballast to see if they were fitted dodgy or not. the thing is my euro is a standard euro so it didnt come with hid....and when i fitted the hid's i ran the cables through the side walls near the indicator so that my ballast actualli sits on top of the wheel arc inside the plastic cover that goes around the arc of the wheel. hahah he spent a awhile loking for it then he asked me and i said i dunno.....later he just gave up haha
also my front parkers are actualli the same color as my indicators (orange) thought i go for something different instead of blue and red.....i also use to have white but i find the orange to look quite good....never had any problems with the orange parkers......also im on my fulls now and all this happended when i was on my p's....since i been on my fulls.....always get pulled over for breath test but i have never been hassled about anything on the car =p

Most cops stop on the side of the road (and hide in the bushes), have a look at oncoming traffic. Headlight is blue, pull their "candle stick" and stop you. My friend with his 6000K HID on a 4WD get stop by police who do a U turn on a 80km/h freeway.
Hi guys, update a news for you.
I stopped for random blood test last night on epping road Sydney
there were two cops saw my drls, hid and purple lights.

I think they don't care about the light issues rather than drinking driving or other safey issues.

300c's, audi's and bimmers have projector housings which splits the colours so you get bluey/purpley looking light depending on what angle you see the car from.
6000k, 8000k, 12000k try to mock that, but you just end up screwing yourself over.
i think CU2 has same coloured filters to splits the colours too.
because i saw cu2 luxury's headlight from different shows blue sometime
and my friend told me my light sometime shows white sometime blue.....
curtis265
13-12-2009, 02:13 PM
no, that's another instance of chromatic abberation.
u know how when you shine a light through the triangle and it splits the colours??? it's the same as that with projector lenses.
here http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html
cu2 does have projector lenses, with clear cut-off line
but not bright as 1998 Honda Accord with 6000K Audi TT projector retrofit on that page ur post above

i mounted mine under the wheel arc....just need to tak out some of the clips screw (dont know what there called) but they hold the plastic that goes around the wheel arc....pull that out and there are some holes that you can mount the bracket and the ballast (did mine using cable ties) then you just replace the plastic cover lik normally. there are some holes on the side walls near the head lights which allows you to runn the cables into the wheel arc =]

I took off my front bar and if you look on the corner, there are slots... These slots fit the Ballasts perfectly. In our manual, there is 35 and 55w options, but i stuck with 8000K 35 w ballasts and its been great for me for like 3 years now.
