Thought YOU did alot of driving...? 400,000km's

Guy on S2Ki has an AP1 with over 241,000 miles, which is about 300,000KM's....

Been in the family since new, and looks in better condition than most around.


As far as maintenance goes the car has been pretty much perfect. I have replaced both rear hub bearings at about 140,000 miles.. the rear passenger axle at 220,000 miles..replaced the TCT at about 120,000 even though it wasnt making noise..have done 2 valve adjustments..oil changes every 2,500 miles which is about every 2 to three weeks with either royal purple or mobile 1 10 W30 with an oem filter..and the transmission/differential at around 10,000 to 15,000 miles. I replaced the PCV valve at around 130,000 even though it was fine. The car is still on its original water pump and timing chain..and so far no leaks. I'm in my 3rd clutch already, but overall the car has been awesome, no complaints at all.. well what can you expect..its a Honda

Exactly, I average 800kms a week including work and play. The more I drive it, the more I fall in love with it.

I attract tools in excels on a daily basis, telling me how their, ‘GTR sitting at home can smoke my ass’.

Heck, I’m not one to judge, if they’d rather frolic around town in a grocery hatchback for 5 days a week, kudos to them.

I for one could and would, never do it.

i know a guy who is no longer my friend who has a gtr and the thing has been sitting at home unregistered for 4 years now and he will not stop bragging on about it and how fast it is.
the only thing its fast at doing is collecting dust and his the type who is jealous of what i drive and is longer my friend due to this.

haha yea id understand if its a weekend car and is running like 450kwz at the wheels or something but for normal average cars built for daily drive LIKE the S..its a bit embarrassing seeing them not drive it
i was applying for a credit card last week n the bank manager asked for my assets and i have 2 cars under me, a 1997 corrolla and a s2000 and im only 18 n his like..ohh so the s2000 is the weekend drive i take it..and im thinking in my mind **** NO..the corrolla is the emergency car rofl. but yes i told him "the s was a weekend car" (still kicking myself for saying that since its not me)

id love 2 save kms on my car. i got nothing against it really but realistically
i cant turn down a drive. even driving to work or uni tp me is a pleasure in itself and it makes my day :)
i guess some people are just stronger then i am and dont like showing off as much =P

i was actually going to buy a whie one the next week from nsw for $28,900 but i saw this blue one and was like..u no wat.i want my s2000 in a colour

Both those cars are really nice my dads worked with honda for a few decades and he used to be an exec with them so ive always been around the new ones and there so beautiful haha.

Thats a nice deal on your car it would take me like 7 years to save up that much money but ive always wanted an s2000. I get my p's next year so looking for a nice honda for around 5k hopefuly

its always good 2 get practice in something a little less before hitting the fancy cars.
i still dont think i got enough experience to be given the keys to a s2000
p plate mentality.im glad i got my name on it..bcuz everyone knows my car and if i do end up being stupid..my parents hear about it sooner or later..so im constantly being watched.

if its in blue or black you probably would love having one at 18.. i had a yellow one at 18 and i got so much attention from cops and muzteks and im telling ya that attention is'nt good. It freaks me out how tamay hasnt been pulled over as much as i have.. The first month i had it i got pulled over more then his ever been pulled over.. And mind you i wasnt hooning or any of that just driving around with the top down lol.. now im 19 with a 2jz-GE lol..

damn, I wish I could have afforded an S at 18! Im 27 and only managed to afford one at 26 lol. I put alot of Ks on my car as well. I picked it up with 151,000 in december and Im already on 169,000. I live in geelong and my girl lives in melbourne so Im always driving back and forth. Im seriously contemplating buying a shit box to use as a daily driver because Im worried about all the Ks Im putting on my car but the truth is... even if I baught a shit box as a daily driver I dont think Id have the self control to take it out instead of my S.... I love driving it too much

as long as you service it you should be fine engine wise.

but eventually many things would need to be changed on the car after you hit ~200,000kms

but for me its the joy of driving your car> how many kays you put on it
