wheel alignments, do wheels matter?

out of curiosity, say i get a wheel alignment done with one set of wheels(not buckled) then go home and whack on another set of wheels
it wouldn't affect the wheel alignment would it? seeing as i'm not touching the upper control arm or tie rods at all

Shouldn't matter. As long as the wheels are not bent.

as long as its the same sized rims and tyres it should matter
but if you go from 14 inch to 18 inch there might warrant an adjustment due to tyre flex etc

Hey vinny, from my experience it did affect my wheel alignment. I did a wheel alignment with a set of wheels that were perfectly balance.. then after a few weeks later i got another set of wheels and some tyre place put on some used tyres and did not balance it. Ended up putting my alignment out of place a bit so it does affect your steering correction in this circumstance if the wheels u replace are not balance properly.

so tyre size and pressure count(sidewall flex)
what about offset? i suppose it wouldn't since most cars front and rear track is different from factory anyhow

Yes but that's because the wheels were not balance like they should have been.How do U put wheels on rims and not balance them,the 2 go hand in hand!

if i did a wheel alignment with a set of 16x8 +35 then put on a set of 16x8 +15 would that affect the wheel alignment in anyway?

both sets are fully balanced with same size tyres.

Thai, the lower offset will increase you track a total of 40mm (20mm each side) so you will/may experience more tramlining and/or bump steer. Other than that, your allignment settings should remain neutral.
