hey guys i want to know if it is advisable to use std dc2r retainers with crower valve springs???
I dont want to use TI retainers and my engine will only rev to 9krpm.
Crower 63401T cams data:
11.81 mm, in*duration - 240deg @ 1mm
11.30 mm ex*duration - 237deg @ 1mm
crower BC1010 spring data:
- 225lbs at 11.8mm lift (intake lift)
- coil binds at 14.47mm lift

well just for referance, i have pressed out an itr retainer and checked the spring size differance between the oem spring and crower spring. the big inner spring diameter is the same however the small springs inner diameter is bigger. I am unhappy with the "play" from this so am ordering crower TI retainers. looks like i have to keep a sharp eye on these as ive heard they can wear through with time...
has anyone had bad issues with TI retainers????

Disregarding the difference in size you've found. The stock ITR ones are fine, unless your going to be reving in excess of 9k rpm or more. TI are light and good for crazy rpm. Less mass to push.

so have people done it without any trouble dean? i really have no use for pushing more than 9krpm, thats getting a bit high for my intended use i think. i just want the retainers to fit snug and would much perfer a retainer that will not wear out super quick...

pretty sure mine are all Ti, but then i don't rev that hard anyway, turbo's too small :(
this for the sol?

its not for the sol, we used my itr cams for that and decided to get bigger ones for the integra lol...
