hey guys just wondering if u could help me out...

i've got a dc2 vtir

did a search but nothing that answers my questions...

got a mate who's gonna give me his type r calipers, so far from what i know... vtir rotor size is 262mm and type r rotor is 282mm?

therefore my question(s) are:

1) is it a direct fit?

2) i'm sure it will clear my 15" rims? (rota slipstreams)

3) brake pads of course?

4) as mentioned above i'll have use 282mm sized rotors?

i know they are stupid questions but i've learnt from experience to ask stupid questions rather than later as i'll look like a bigger ass at the mechanic when things do not go right. for those of you who helped me with my clutch problem u'll know what i mean lol...

thanks in advance guys!!!

Hey,

The answer to your questions.

1. No it's not a diect fit ... You'll need to change your hubs on your car so it has the right backing to support he caliper so you can bolt them on.

2. Your 15" slipstreas should fit becaue the stock dc2r comes with 15" and i'm sure the offset isn't too big of a thing for the type R caliers.

3. You'll have to use dc2r brake pads

4. You should be using the 282mm rotors with those calipers.

Hope that helps, Shoot me a PM if you need any more help.

Cheers

you need to shaved the caliper bracket ( 3mm )
you need to run 282mm 4x100 disc.
We got them in stock ready to go

1) Direct fit yes since you have the dc2 hubs already

2) yes with rota slips, they clear on my fat fives 15x6 ET45

3) DB1206 pads you need

4) Yes, once you've gone this far use the 282mm rotors too.

I did a DIY post a while back:

one more thing actually, would i be able to use my stock vtir front brakes for the rear instead? or is it a totally different fitment altogether?

2) yes with rota slips, they clear on my fat fives 15x6 ET45

depends i had some rota copies and they didn't fit.
All the fat fives/blades/ek4/em1 rims fit though
I've tried 2 out of 4
