Hey guys,

Can somebody please direct me towards a DIY Integra Type R front lip install please?

The story is that my brother has a DC4 and tomorrow is his birthday. I have bought a Type R front lip from JDMYard but haven't unwrapped it properly because I don't want him to see it until it's installed.

The problem is that he's hardly ever out of the house without his car, so I've arranged for his GF to take him out in her car for a couple of hours, in which I want to install his new lip so that it's a surprise.

I've never done one before, and I can't get it out and hold it onto the bumper to figure it out - otherwise he'll see his present before he gets it.

Any help/photos would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Andy

This is how it turned out. I was trying to avoid using screws on the front by using two-sided tape so that I didn't have to put holes in my brother's front bumper.
Some people told me this would work fine but it wouldn't hold properly and I wanted it to be solid.

I'm happy with the result :)

Thanks mate :)

He's happy with his birthday present. The only issue I have is that the plastic (ABS) is quite hard so you need to be careful of the duco :(

Yeah,it will scratch the paint away.

Well spoted Jeff,it's decieving,I can't tell,not sure on teg's,civic's I could tell :D

So the clearance from the bottom of the lip to the ground should be the same at the front of the lip and at the rear,to measure that it's flat.It looks like it may be too high at the rear?

Yeah got it from JDMYard. Looks good. I pulled it up a little on the wheel well part of the front bumper so that it could screw on more securely - if I'd had it 100% flat it wouldn't have been as secure. So yeah it kinda angles upwards a bit on the sides but the angles are even on each and my brother and I like it :)
