For those in the hyrbid know, can someone shed some light on difficulty, ease of b20 swap into Ef8 civic.

If [G] is still selling his B20 i am thinking that this is a viable swap.

Well usually you would have to go through alot of work like strengthening the block and internals.

But i think the one [G] is selling has already done that.

Just need custom mounts and upgrade alot of things like brakes, sussy etc.

Someone on forum has done similar job to an older civic. ALLMTR i think it was.

Dropping a B20 vtec into a car is the same as dropping any B engine in.

One you have a b16 or b18 or b20 sitting in ya car that’s the hard part.

Typically though one you have any B engine you can interchange gear boxes / engines very easily

Most b20 vtec out there are 100% totally stock b20 bottem ends, with a b16 head bolted on. Plus all the conversion adaptors etc… its honestly a very easy process.

What kinda specific information were you after ? Remember a b20 conversion will need a full aftermarket ECU, where as a b16 / b18type r you can get away with using the stock ECU.

What is exactly involved?

Is it viable to just get a b20 block and bolt on a b16a head to it? And then tune it with an A/M Ecu?

If internals are needed to be done,
1) - what is nessecary...
1.5) - what is not nessecary but recommended
2) - Why for 1)
2.5) - Why for 1.5)

:D hope i didn't confuse u with the .5) questions ^_-

btw Ive done a search here and honda tech but dind't find much...

well, 13.73 @ 101mph on stock ECU with vafc must be pretty lame in an b20vtec LS integra then?
