Hi all,
I'm new here. I first got into hondas with Motocross Bikes. Then I bought a DC2 R and was blown away. For some reason I sold it and bought a Monaro. Stupid. Anyway keep a long story short I just sold the Monaro and am going back to a DC2 R. I cant wait.

The monaro is Big, heavy and lazy. The build quality is poor and the performance is less then exhilarating. They have the most clumsy gearbox as well. They only thing going for them is the look, and they are a nice travel car. Very comfortable.

I reckon my old DC2 R would run rings around the Monaro 7 days a week. I don't know about a HSV job but to be fair you would have to compare to spoon or toda build then cause HSV aint a Holden. The monaro looks damn nice tho

HSV>Holden v8 cars anyday
Uncle used to have a HSV coupe.. and it was just a totally different car to any v8 holden.. build quality is different, and really its like comparing mustangs to ford.. different cars altogether

Agreed... theres Holden and then theres HSV , Chalk & Cheese. I reckon if honda build a V8 coupe along the Type R bloodline it would blow the doors of any HSV

I've got to correct this bit, people here too often think that Spoon is some Honda equivalent of HSV, but it isn't.
Mugen Power is the closest thing Honda has to Holden's HSV. While Mugen is not a part of Honda, it is the firm most closely related to Honda and gets tech data from Honda even before new models are released. That is why Mugen parts are always released at the same time as a new model Honda. Furthermore there were Mugen-Honda engines in F1 which were a collaboration between Honda and Mugen.
Spoon, while marketing themselves as a Honda tuner, are like J's Racing. Private Japanese firms that have no support from the factory, but just buy Hondas and then develop parts for them.
In countries like HK, Malaysia, Singapore, Spoon doesn't even hold a candle to Mugen in the tuning scene.

incorrect.
There is also a honda legend (jdm?) that is turbo at stock and I think there was another but I cannot recall off the top of my head.
I'm sure wikipedia has it covered
