Hey.
I am looking to freight a gearbox from Sydney to Tassie. Have been searching the net and the forums for hours!! Does anyone know the weight and dimensions of a D16A8 gearbox? (so I can get a quote)
Thanks heaps!

i have a D16A8 box in my spare room at the moment, but no scales at home :(
I know it's light enough to pick up with one hand through the driveshaft hole, but i'm no good at estimating weights..
If i had to guess, perhaps 20-30kg?
and from memory, it's about 600x400x500, though i can check this when i get home from work if someone else hasn't helped already :)

Awesome! Thanks mate. Really appreciate it. I have been on a couple of sites and they are telling me anywhere from 20kg to 50kg but I need something pretty exact for the shipping quote.
D16Y gearboxes are 35kgs.
Just a fraction over the limit for carry on luggage.
Too heavy for the important/big/burly security guys to want to know, but light enough for a helpful lady to offer to help.
too big for the post, but not worth a freight companies time.
Don't ask me how I know....
Nick.
