Yesterday i just disconnected my battery for 15 minutes to reset my ECU (thanks for the tip tanghy), and afterwards i took it for a short drive. Now from my butt dyno, i feel like as if the car is much much much better in terms of power and responsiveness
Was this a placebo effect? Has anyone tried this :D
I originally wanted to reset cos i heard from the US forums that the OBD2 actually "detunes" your car's modifications over time, is this actually true?
And another thing, i heard that with OBd2, VAFC does NOT WORK as the memory gets wiped or something. Does this mean i need VAFC2?
And LASTLY (this is going to sound bad) i'm not even sure i have obd2, cos my car was made in 1995 (its an EK4) and released in 1996. THe www said that obd2 come out in 1996, but myc ar was RELEASED in 1996, just htat the plate was 1995 cos it was the first batch...
so confused:o
