nope, if u've signed you cant change the price no more... unless in the contract it said the delivery time is a lot sooner than mid jan

on another note, Last month, I've told by the dealer that there will be delayed til jan.

Should of asked before u bought it, how long the wait is in your colour..

I would of just waited till next year, as your car is now a 09 model next year u could have picked it up cheaper.

The dealer told me originally that i'm getting the car on the 22nd of Dec......

and now I called him to check up everything then he informed me that its delayed

The part where I CALLED HIM and then he informed me got me abit angry!!!!

surely theres a CU2 in the country for you..........it's not like mixed options that are hard to find as everything is standard.

is this delivery date stated on the contract? if yes, you can ask for compensation or something

yeah man, ask for a free body kit!!

yeah i'm looking at some fog lights blue tooth and parking sensors! or like 2k off

since i'm buying a 09 model cu2 in 2010 due to the delay!

what pisses me off more is that I have to be the one making all the phone calls to him.....

so since he doesn't seem to care then i won't be the nice person i was when i first signed on the dotted line!

I think they will not agree with those. The best they usually offer is either free x number of services or discount on every service. they will not add anything to the contract...

Just curious, will you be going back to the same dealer and which one is it?

Soulful

I wouldn't mind going back to them since now I have a good idea of how much I can bargin, but wouldnt hurt to go around a few dealers and ask them

"so they offered me this, what can you offer me?"

but from my experience in the last 2 months, they didn't care as much! came across a few really arrogant sellers

so dunno we'll c

hey bud.........I was told of limited or no supply by my initial dealer as well and after calling around I got the colour and manual I wanted.

how it works is that they have their own franchise groups e.g trivett, larke hoskins......etc. So if one franchise group doesn't have it another might. They will not tell you if another franchise group has it or not. There are a few 'honda' dealers out there that are owned by the honda themselves (I suspect) and they might have access to more surplus supply.

but if you looking for a 2010 BUILD then nothing till late feb or early march.

it's just a plate anyhow........as long as you have a 2010 spec car but it's a personal thing.

Wrong. When it comes to resale time there will be a difference.A 2010 built and compliance plated car will be worth more than a 09 built and 2010 compliance car.Technically the 09 built car is 1 year old now as it is 2010.So don't fall for that crap that dealers will tell you it doesn't matter. It does.

^^^ True that... Like in Carsales you will put 2009 Accord Euro CU2 MY10. But people will see the "2009" more, rather than the "MY10"

in isolation and by book value you would be correct to assume that. but we all know theres a whole range of other variables that will contribute more to resale value. e.g paint condition km's travelled etc......

our's is leased through Qantas exec lease plan so after 3 years we simply hand back the car and dont worry about resale value..........

so in my case it doesn't matter but if you fork out your own hard cash then it has limited bearing.

sorry I admit I'm in a different boat.....we bare little of the depreciation side like you guys who fork out hard cash. Our car is leased through company. It's factored in each years payment to some extent but we're on a lease plan where km's travelled above 20Kkm per year are free in terms of petrol and depreciation factor. Qantas exec company perks I guess.

lol so u shouldnt worry about car price n pinging then... not your money :p:thumbsup:

Of course. It is one of many things that affect resale value when it comes time to sell.
