hello everyone, i found why my passenger window wouldnt work. i found that one set of spade terminals have been corroded (green/white powder stuff) where the harness enters the door from the fender. i tried cleaning them with an electrical cleaning agent without scrubbing, was bending the spade terminal a fair bit so i stopped. is there another way of cleaning them without mechanical/electrical damage?

possibly using a metal brush and some fine sand paper, you could always just cut them off and attach some new ones instead they are fairly cheap to buy.

cut what exactly? i dont want to cut the actual plug off, i want to keep it clean and genuine no aftermarket harness. it would be very hard to get any sort of brush/sand paper in there as its very tight. here is a picture of what im trying to get at...

one pin is corroded on the left plug, and the same pin corroded slightly on the right plug (note these are not the plugs im talkin about, just similar to give example). is there any way i can de-pin them out and clean them one at a time?

sorry i thought you were talking about this type of connection

you should be able to de-pin them with a small falt head screwdriver, look at the back of the connection and you should be able to see a small bent metal tab on each pin, all you have to do is bend that metal tab back and the pin should then be able to slide out.

yeah the female side should have it aswell, to clean the male side i would use some 180-400 grit sand paper for the female side try getting a metal brush to scrub inside it
